About

My two passions in life are animals and photography.

When I was six months old I got my first dog, Tashi. Since then I’ve had a passion for pets (and a menagerie of some sort!). Years ago I owned and operated a successful pet sitting/dog walking business and found that my favourite part of the business was taking pictures of my clients’ pets! I started getting regular requests from my clients for my photography. I picked up a decent camera, started taking courses, and gradually my new business was born.

Anji BartonI’ve taken several courses at Henry’s School of Imaging including Creative Urban Photography, Portrait Lighting, Mastering Flash, and Composition & Creativity. I’m a graduate of the Pet Photography course at the Picture Perfect School of Photography and I earned a diploma from The Photography Institute.

I also have education and experience in the field of animal care and behaviour. I’m Pet First Aid certified and have a certificate in Dog Care from the Companion Animal Sciences Institute. I’m a member of the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants and am actively involved in rescue, volunteering for Boston Terrier Rescue Canada and the Mississauga Humane Society.

I have an extensive background in advertising and design and my strong design sense shows through in my photography. In this digital age, anyone can take pictures. I ensure that my photos are not just snapshots, but art. I always strive to wow my clients.

I live in Toronto with my dog Rosie. I recently lost my two cats, Blue (Jan 18 2016) and Kyle (Jan 18 2015) and my beloved boston terrier Ruby (Aug 2 2014). They were my inspiration and are always on my mind. My pets are family and I know yours are too. If you’re interested in capturing the essence of your pet forever with artistic portraits, or if you have any questions, feel free to get in touch.

I’d love to meet you and your pets!
